Zhihua Josh Han, Ph.D.

Dr. Han specializes in patent prosecution and strategic counseling for patent portfolio development. He primarily advises biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, with a particular focus in inventions involving monoclonal antibodies, cancer therapies, signal transductions, immune response regulation, molecular biology, and chemicals. Dr. Han regularly drafts patent applications directed to computer software, mechanical arts (especially industrial machinery and consumer goods), and design patents as well. He routinely works on patent infringement matters that benefit from his technical expertise. Dr. Han also assists his clients in trademark matters, such as trademark acquisition, maintenance and enforcement (as well as defense of infringement accusations), and opposition and cancellation proceedings at the USPTO.

Prior to practicing law, Dr. Han engaged in life science research, and has over twenty peer-reviewed publications to his name. He utilizes his knowledge and expertise in life science when drafting patent applications for his clients.

Dr. Han is fluent in Chinese.
