Ms. Tonnes is a business and intellectual property attorney who focuses on counseling technology and biotechnology companies. Ms. Tonnes’s practice includes patent portfolio management, corporate governance, and drafting and negotiating a wide variety of business and intellectual property agreements. Prior to practicing law, Lori enjoyed a career in science researching comparative early embryonic development, investigating the olfactory receptor sub-genome, and discovering methylation-based epigenetic markers for early detection of disease.
She attended University of Washington School of Law and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at University of Washington Foster School of Business. An active member of the legal community, Lori is the Treasurer for the Seattle Intellectual Property American Inns of Court, the Vice Chair of the Membership Committee of the American Inns of Court, and a member of the Western Regional Conference Planning Committee for the Society for Corporate Governance.
